Why Park Homes
Park homes are compact, single-storey properties that are frequently off the gas grid. Many are owner-occupied by older homeowners and rely on LPG, oil or electric heating, which can make a low-maintenance heating upgrade especially appealing.
Many park homes use LPG, oil or electric heating, which may make them relevant for additional funding routes.
Park homes are typically smaller in size, which can mean lower overall heating demand to assess.
Most park homes have surrounding space where an external heat pump unit may potentially be placed.
Funding depends on construction type, current heating system and survey, but park homes are often worth checking.
Funding Explained
Boiler Upgrade Scheme
£9,000
Available toward eligible air source heat pump installations in England and Wales, subject to property suitability.
Off-Gas Homes (Oil / LPG)
£9,000
From 21 July 2026 to 31 March 2027, some eligible off-gas homes using heating oil or LPG may qualify.
The grant is usually handled by the installer and deducted from the quote.
Other funding routes may depend on income, EPC, benefits, vulnerability, local authority rules or installer availability.
Park home eligibility may depend on construction type, park rules and whether the property has its own EPC.
Funding is subject to eligibility, survey, property suitability, park operator permission and installer approval. National Boiler Helpline helps you check what route may apply to your park home.
